- What counts as a render?
- One successful or caller-caused render request is one render: one PDF (any number of pages up to the limit) or one image. Renders that fail because of a problem on our side are not counted.
- How does the spend cap work?
- Paid accounts start with a $50 monthly cap, which is the $5 base plus 4,500 extra renders. When you reach it, requests return quota_exceeded until the next month or until you raise the cap in your dashboard. You are never billed past your cap.
- When am I billed?
- Monthly, on the 1st. The $5 base is billed at the start of each month and usage over 500 renders is billed at the end.
- Do unused renders roll over?
- No. The 500 included renders reset on the 1st of each month.
- Can I cancel?
- Yes, anytime from the billing portal in your dashboard. Your plan runs to the end of the month you paid for, then drops to Free.
- How do AI agents pay?
- Today, agents use your API key through the MCP server. Coming soon: agents with a USDC wallet on Base will be able to call the render endpoint with no API key and pay 1 cent per render using the x402 protocol, and will only be charged after the file renders.
- How long are files kept?
- Rendered files are deleted after 7 days. Download links last up to 7 days. Request data is never stored.
